Join us for part two of this year's Leeds Handel Festival!
This year Holy Trinity Church celebrates 290years of existance (it was consecrated in 1727). Handel's music has been performed in this wonderful church since then and that's why we say: "Hallelujah for Handel"!
Lunchtime Recital presented by Ad Hoc Baroque from Leeds:
"Chamber music of the 17th & 18th Century"
A programme of Handel’s Vocal Chamber Music including a selection of the “Nine German Arias”.
Donations welcome. Doors will open at 12.30pm, tea and coffee will be served.
Further Events for the Handel Festival are planned for the late summer and it will come to a conclusion for the year on 30th September, when a major choral concert takes place in which St Peter’s Singers will present Handel’s Anthem on the Peace of 1749 and the four Coronation Anthems for the 1727 Coronation of King Charles I and Queen Caroline in Westminster Abbey.
